Mission 29 - Tower of Light

It's time to deal with the Baal Shem Tov. He's hiding in a small elven fortress, which complicates the situation a bit. You will have to face the Undead and Elves.

You start the mission near an active teleporter, near an enemy fortress. The starting army consists of 4 mages and 2 heroes. You can use additional units - ranged ones are the most important here, but 2-3 melee units can also help you.

The enemy hero is hiding in the eastern part of the walls ( 1 ). He stands there for almost the entire mission and summons random units (skeletons or golems). The only way to destroy him is to either shoot this magician from a distance, or destroy the gate and get on the walls using a tower with a roof. However, your melee units will die before they can reach it. The best way to destroy him is to summon skeletons right next to his positions and shoot him with the rest of your units. In the meantime, you must freeze the enemy units (including archers and mages) that are near your positions. Fire rain is very useful here, but only against Elves. You can also use Rage/Mind Control on Elf Mage.

There are additional skeletons and golems in the north that will move towards your army ( 2 ). They need a few turns to get dangerously close to you. Elf units, infantry and archers, are located inside the fortress ( 3 ). However, the most dangerous squad is the Elven Mage, because he can reduce the attack of your units by 10 turns. Freeze him first.

Moreover, the fortress is a favorite place for the enemy's magician to summon additional units. Try to freeze the units at and in front of the gate. Thanks to this, the enemy will have to send units through the back gate. Defeat the defenders, take up positions inside the fort and on the walls. Get ready for the Undead ( 2 ). Freeze the skeletons in or in front of the gate. This will allow you to fight with fewer units. Locking this place is important, so don't kill the frozen unit. Instead, focus on shooting Stone Golems, Skeletons, and Lava Beams.

Completing the mission at a higher difficulty level (orange marks on the map). The fort is filled to the brim ( 3 ). Fire rain can be useful here, especially if it hits elven magicians.
